About Brandon Jazz And His Armed Forces
With tongue planted firmly in cheek, the inevitable Brandon Jazz is back with two new snap-cracklin’ treats to save your soul with the power and majesty of rock and roll! While the B-side knocks you down like a confetti bomb, the A-side lifts your spirits with help from of a gang of kittens just back from surfing on the sun. Whoa.
The Armed Forces is the name Nashville-based idiot savant Brandon Jazz has christened this here outfit, and he’s using it to share his glitter-splattered audio creations with the world. “Radical Luv,” a three and half minute burst of synthesized pastel guitars teams up with 80s style cult send-off “Vultures” to offer themselves as your saving grace: a tribute to those muddling through their darkest hours, and a high five to the kids at the zenith of their winning-streaks. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and Brandon Jazz is ready to take command, bringing us all together under the candy-coated banner of Pure Joy.
Clear you calendars, ‘cause Jazz is throwing the soirée of the century, and the guest list to this pop party promenade will drop your jaw. There’s JOE STRUMMER hanging around back, smokin’ cigs and makin’ plans. TOM PETTY is sneaking off with the girl next door to teach her a thing or two about raising hell. And who’s the lady under the spotlight? It’s MADONNA, throwing attitude around the joint like ninja stars. JAMES BROWN wants to teach the kids a lesson about respect, and he might get around to after he stops dancin’. Even the good-natured muscle of HUEY LEWIS is down with the plan, ‘cause the cat has the wherewithal to crank some DEVO on the jukebox. With an all-star cast like this, it’s bound to be one party where nobody makes it out alive. It ain’t gonna be no Ballroom Blitz, it’ll be a JONESTOWN MASSACRE. Jazz has locked the door, thrown away the key, and he’s got a message for you: This is The Day.
