About The Worsties
"It’s been a busy year for the Nashville based rock band, The Worsties. With three EPs under their belt they are currently in the studio working on their next. Alongside a busy recording schedule, The Worsties have generated quite a stir in the local and regional touring circuit sharing the stage with such acts as Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, Big Boi, Saving Abel, Candlebox, Cage the Elephant, American Bang, Marcy Playground, Theory of a Deadman, Pop Evil, Luna Halo, Ligion, Autovaughn and a slew of others. Along the way the band has attracted a faithful following in Atlanta, Louisville, Lexington, Auburn, Columbus GA, Michigan, Indianapolis, Austin, and of course, in most of the major markets in their home state of Tennessee.
In late 2009 and early 2010 they’ve had numerous placements on MTV including “Kitty Litter” which was a featured song on “The Real World D.C.” “What’s Her Face” was featured on “Bad Girls Club.” They also received the award for Best Pop/Indie Band at the 2010 Nashville Independent Music Awards.
The music video for “Kitty Litter” has been featured in all 800 Journeys locations across the U.S. and was also selected to be aired on Fuse on Demand. In 2010 the video received a Nashville Independent Music Awards nomination for best video.
The band melds the sounds of 70’s era punk, 80’s pop and glam, dance, The Pixies and even Motorhead to create a feisty, straight ahead rock n’ rollin’ good time.
The Worsties formed in 2005 with vocalist Anna Worstell, guitarist Jesse Worstell, and bassist Jairo Ruiz. Nathan Shelton joined the band on drums in March of 2008."
